It relaxes the muscles of the stomach and intestine by acting as an anti-cholinergic. It relieves cramps, bloating, and discomfort by preventing sudden muscle contractions (spasms). The action of paracetamol is to block the release of certain chemicals that cause pain, thus providing necessary pain relief.For most patients, this medication is safe. There may, however, be some common side effects associated with this medication, such as nauseousness, dry mouth, blurred vision, weakness or sleepiness.
